Yobe State University (YSU) has announced a two-week extension for Level one and two examinations for the 2022/2023 academic session. The extension is aimed at giving lecturers ample time to cover their lectures and administer continuous assessment tests. This decision has led to adjustments in the academic calendar as detailed below.

First Semester:

  • Level 1 & 2 Examinations: 22nd May to 10th June 2023 (3 weeks)

Second Semester:

  • ETTC Meeting & Approval of Timetable: 12th June 2023 (1 day)
  • Second Semester Begins and Marking of First Semester Scripts: 13th June to 16th September 2023 (14 weeks)
  • Second Semester Examination: 18th September to 7th October 2023 (3 weeks)
  • Marking Period: 9th October to 27th October 2023 (3 weeks)
  • External Examination/Moderation and Consideration of Results at Departmental, GST, Faculty, and Senate Levels: 30th October to 24th November 2023 (4 weeks)
  • Inter-sessional Break and Admission of New Candidates for New Session: 27th November to 22nd December 2023 (4 weeks)

Note: The resumption date for the 2023/2024 academic session is yet to be determined.
