Why NECO Entrance Examination for Unity College Was Initially Postponed
According to the Permanent Secretary,
Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. MacJoch
Nwaobiala,who gave the speech made clear to general public why they postponed The 2015 National Common Entrance
Examination (NCEE) into Federal
Government Colleges and Federal Science
and Technical Colleges was held yesterday
(Saturday) nationwide.
Examination Date:
Initially,The examination which was earlier
scheduled for March 21st but later was postponed till Saturday, April 25th because of the 2015 general elections which was conducted recently.
Exam Statistics
The permanent secretary went further given the breakdown stats of a total of 86,365 candidates registered for the examination.
According to him,The statistics showed that Lagos State topped the list with 25,437 registered candidates while Borno State kept the rear with 55 candidates as a result of security challenges in the state.
Total Number Of Exam Centers
Dr. Nwaobiala(Permanent Secretary) said that the entrance examination took place in 420 centers nationwide including Abia, Imo and Taraba,states where supplementary elections were taking place.
Security:
He also assured that adequate security
measures where put in place in all the
centers, especially in Adamawa, Yobe,
Gombe and Borno to ensure a hitch free
conduct of the examination.
