The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Head of media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, has recently released statement that the change of course/institution fee charged by any tertiary institution on candidates who participated for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) is illegal.

The Head of Media and Information of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who made this disclosure, said that every UTME candidate automatically becomes an applicant in all the over 300 tertiary institutions in the country.

He explained that was why JAMB usually asks its candidates to fill one preferred university, one polytechnic and one college of education in their application forms so as to broaden their chances of securing admission at any level.
