University of Ilorin, Unilorin Law Graduate among best 8 in 2015 Bar Final exams
A 2013/2014 Law graduate of the University of Ilorin, Mr. Amoo Oluwatobi Ayobode, was among the eight student-lawyers that made the First Class Honours at the recently released November 2015 Bar Final Examinations results of the Nigerian Law School.

The seven others came from:
1.Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo;
2. University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba;
3. Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka;
4. University of Nigeria, Nsukka;
5. University of Abuja, and
6. University of Maiduguri.
Twenty three other students from the University of Ilorin also made the Second Class (Upper division) while 52 others made the Second Class (Lower division).
In recognition of Amoo’s exemplary performance, the Council of Legal Education has written a letter of commendation to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON).
In the letter, signed by the Secretary and Director of Administration, Mrs E.O. Max-Uba, the Council said, “This feat is indeed commendable and is testimony to the fact that hard work and discipline will always yield excellent results”. It then requested that “this information (should) be disseminated to the current students in the Faculty of Law to serve as motivation to others”.
It will be recalled that the University of Ilorin’s Faculty of Law was adjudged the best Law Faculty in the country early this year based on the cumulative performance of its products in the 2014 Bar Final Examinations of the Nigerian Law School. In the 2012 and 2013 Bar Final Examinations, the University of Ilorin consistently came second.
Meanwhile, the University management has congratulated Mr. Amoo on his stellar performance.
In a congratulatory letter signed by the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi, the University management described Amoo’s performance as “laudable achievement, which has marked you out among your colleagues”, adding, “It is our hope that you will continue to work even harder to attain greater heights in your chosen career”.
The University management has also congratulated the Faculty of Law on the remarkable performance of one of its students in the Bar Final Examinations.
In a letter written to the Dean of the Faculty and signed by the Registrar, Mr. Obafemi, the University management expressed the hope that the Faculty “will not rest on its oars but will strive to obtain better results in the future.”
