University of Ilorin (UNILROIN) Denies Reports Turning Back Post-UTME Candidates Over Indecent Dressing

UNILORIN

The management of University of Ilorin (UNILROIN) has denied reports that post-UTME candidates were prevented from participating in the screening exercise for dressing indecently.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs of the University, Mr Kunle Akogun, few candidates that were turned back were those who came to the CBT centre without the print-outs of their examination schedule, a situation that made proper identification impossible.

Akogun said, “Even at that, we didn’t send them out of the campus. They were only directed to where they could get the schedule printed out nearby, and those who could still bring their print-outs were still allowed into the examination halls”.

The spokesman pointed out that even some of the candidates who wore short skirts to the screening centre were only counseled that such mode of dressing was not compliant with the university’s dress code.
