Speaking on the ongoing Unijos screening exercise, the Principal Assistant Registrar in charge of Information and Publications, Mr Abdullahi Abdullahi, said that the applicants were those sent to the institution by JAMB.
Abdullahi said the university would admit about 7,000 of the applicants, adding that the Faculty of Medicine had the highest number of qualified applicants with 10,000 competing for the available slots.
He said the screening, which was initially scheduled to be completed on Sept. 14, was extended by two days due to the Eid el-Kabir celebration.
