Poly Ibadan NASU Embarks on Indefinite Strike
The Polytechnic Ibadan Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), yesterday(Monday 31, August) commenced an indefinite strike action.
This was contained in a communiqué made available and signed by the branch secretary of the union, Mr Ibraheem Adekunle
Akande, after a meeting held at the Sports Pavilion, North Campus of the institution on Friday, August 28, 2015.
The communiqué read: “The management should as a matter of urgency prevail on the state government to pay all our outstanding salaries and wages from April till date.”
It further stated that “henceforth, members’ salaries should be paid in full without the deduction due to the cooperative and members. The union will not call off the strike until our demands are met.”
