Okorocha Fires IMSU VC, Appoints Son- in-law As Chief Of Staff
According to news reaching us has it that Professor Ukachukwu Aloysius Awuzie have been relieved of his duty as Imo State University Vice Chancellor.
In his stead, Professor Victoria Adaobi Obasi
has been appointed by the Imo state
Governor, Rochas Okorocha, as the new
Acting Vice Chancellor of Imo state
university.
One of our school informants got in touch
with the Public Relations Officer of IMSU,
Mr. Ralph Njoku-obi and he confirmed the
sack of Prof. Awuzie.
Though he was unwilling to give details
surrounding the sack of the Vice Chancellor.
It is however suspected that the sack may
be connected to the strike action embarked
by the lecturers of the institution few weeks
back over non-payment of salaries
