NYSC Deploys 3,000 Corps Members to Plateau State

National Youth Service
Scheme (NYSC) Coordinator,Mr
Abdulrazak Salawu said 3,000 Batch ‘’A’’ prospective corps members were deployed to the state for the one year mandatory service.
Salawu stated this at the swearing in
ceremony of corps members in Jos.
He urged them to make `laudable’ impact
in providing the much need socio-economic
development in the state, particularly in the
rural areas.
I urge you to strive even harder to
surpass the level of achievements of your
predecessors,’’ he said.
He charged the corps members to ensure
that the trainings they received during the
three weeks orientation exercise was used
for the development of the country.
Also speaking, Gov. Jonah Jang of Plateau,
represented by Mrs Dorcas Din, Permanent
Secretary Youth’s Development, assured the
corps members of their safety in the state.
He urged the corps members to shun
corruption and other vices, adding that they
should embrace integrity, patriotism and
humility throughout their service year and
beyond.(NAN)
