NABA New Academy of Fine Arts–Milan has
opened scholarship competition for
international students for the academic
year 2015-2016. These scholarships
competitions are available for seven types
of Master of Arts programs i.e. Creative
Advertising, Visual Arts and Curatorial
Studies, Photography and Visual Design,
Fashion and Textile Design, Communication
Design, Design -Specialization in Interior
Design and Product Design. Up to 21
scholarships are awarded (3 scholarships
for each competition) for partial coverage of
the tuition fee of the first year of the
program starting in October 2015.
The
application deadline is 30 April, 2015.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded
in the following areas: Creative
Advertising,Visual Arts and Curatorial
Studies, Photography and Visual Design,
Fashion and Textile Design, Communication
Design, Design– Specialization in Interior
Design and in Product Design.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for
pursuing Master of Arts (MA) program.

Scholarship can be taken at: Italy
Eligibility: The competition is open to
candidates willing to approach the world of
photography, arts, national and
international communication and combine
a solid historical and cultural base with
highly developed technical and practical
skills necessary for success in national and
international markets. Candidates holding a
first-level academic diploma or BA degree,
or about to graduate within the academic
year 2014/15 and with a knowledge of the
Italian/English language (according to the
medium of instruction of the program)
equal to a B2 Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages.
Scholarship Open for International
Students: International students can apply
for this competition.
Scholarship Description: The NABA
approach has received the highest
accolades from third-party authorities being
selected in the latest years featured in the
Master class Frame Guide to the World’s 30
Leading Graduate Schools in Fashion Design
and Product Design as well as in Domus
Magazine Top 100 schools of Architecture
and Design in Europe. Thanks to the unique
educational approach that balance theory
with practice, students have the chance to
work on real projects with Italian and
international companies. At NABA Students
receive the full support by a dedicated
office that help them finding internship and
job after their studies.
At present following
competitions are open:
-Creative Advertising Competition: The
competition is open to professionals and
graduates in advertising, communication,
brand and graphic design-related
disciplines, design, marketing and
humanities design, marketing and
humanities
-Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies
Competition: The competition is open to
young artists searching for a solid education
in the field of visual arts production with a
highly specialized curatorial program, with
the aim of building the skills of artists and
curators starting from the same shared
exhibition environment.
-Photography and Visual Design
Competition: The competition is open to
candidates willing to approach the world of
photography, arts, national and
international communication and combine
a solid historical and cultural base with
highly developed technical and practical
skills necessary for success in national and
international markets.
-Fashion and Textile Design Competition:
The competition is open to young designers
that adopt and recognize in fashion a
language able to visually embrace the
essence of the contemporary world (music,
visual arts, humanistic culture, technical/
scientific culture, craft and industrial
technologies, experimentation and
tradition).
-Communication Design Competition: The
competition is open to candidates willing to
improve their critical thinking abilities and
sharpen their problem solving skills, while
utilizing the latest design tools and
technologies to come up with innovative
solutions in areas such as brand design,
visual design, environmental design, multi-
media publishing, as well as institutional
communication, service/product
communication and internal
communication, in both B 2 B and B 2 C
contexts.
-Interior Design Competition: The
competition is open to young designers
coming from architecture, interior design,
and engineering faculties or professionals
willing to explore the boundaries and
constraints of the world of interior design,
acquiring and widening their knowledge,
critical awareness, original thinking.
-Product Design Competition: The
competition notice is open to candidates
with a three-Year Bachelor’s Degree or a
Level I Academic Diploma (or who are
waiting to attain this qualification within
the last session of a.y. 2014/15) in the areas
of architecture and design.
Number of award(s):Up to 21 scholarships
are awarded (3 scholarships for each
competition).
Duration of award(s): Scholarships cover the
tuition fee only for the first year.
What does it cover?The three best projects
will be awarded a scholarship for partial
coverage of the tuition fee to attend the
first year of the Academic Master in arts
starting in October 2015.
-1st prize: n. 1 scholarship covering 60% of
the tuition fee to attend the Academic
Master
-2nd prize: n. 1 scholarship covering 50% of
the tuition fee to attend the Academic
Master
-3rd prize: n. 1 scholarship covering 40% of
the tuition fee to attend the Academic
Master

Notification: Candidates will be informed
about the results of the competition by e-
mail on May 18th 2015.
