LAUTECH Authority Declare 3-day Mourning Period For Dead Student
Following the speech made by The Vice-Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin has approved that a 3-day mourning period be declared in honour of Kolawole Fatai Morenikeji, a 400-level student of the Department of Chemical Engineering who slumped and died on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
On each day of the mourning period, i.e.
Wednesday – Friday, June 10 – 12, 2015,
lectures will not commence until 12 noon.
However, 100-level examinations and
postgraduate lectures will continue during
the period.
On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and the
entire Management and Staff, we
sympathize with the family of the deceased
and pray for God’s mercy and protection for
all members of the University Community.
