KUST Wudil Gets Hospitality And Tourism Management Institute
The Kano State government has handed over the newly established Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management to the Kano State University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil.
In a statement by the spokesman to the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, Muhammed Zungura, the state government is determined to give priority attention to qualitative education, infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare and rural development.
Speaking during the hand-over, the Vice Chancellor of KUST, Professor Shehu Musa, said that the institute would commence academic work in a few weeks.
He said the institute had admitted 600 students who would undertake certificate and diploma courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Prof. Musa thanked the Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for giving the approval for the transfer and promised to maintain the standard of the institute.
