As candidates continue to lament their challenges in the on going UTME, some candidates have complained that some of the questions on English Language were wrong as the answers are not available in the options given.
According to the candidates, JAMB should put this into consideration when marking and grading them so it doesn’t affect their scores negatively.
However, when contacted, the Public Relations Officer, JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the portion in question is the comprehension part whereby they have to fill in the gaps.
“You know these students are in a hurry to finish and most of them don’t take their time to go through the questions. Even some candidates in one of the centers I visited pointed out that to me and I had to explain to them that in comprehension, you have to fill in the gaps. I can assure you that JAMB didn’t make any mistake when setting the questions.” He emphasized

yes is true most of the questions were not correct and I didn’t expect the mark they gave me because I know what I wrote
yes that is true, there is problem with dat our English 11 to 21 nw wot I score in English was very low and I was told not to choose anything
still held dey seized all my centre results
I wrote jamb on 5th march, after finishing the exam i was waiting for text message of my result so i checked it online it was 174 and after some minutes they sent me a message that my score is 174 i checked again nothing was added so how am i going to do now? Are they going add the 40marks to me?
Is it true that 40 marks were added to 2016 jamb score
