The Registrar of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede, ‎has disclosed that about 40 percent of JAMB candidates have already obtained National Identity Number (NIN) in the country.  He disclosed this at a meeting with Computer Based Test centres, Technical Advisors, Service providers (MTN, Airtell, Galaxy backbone etc) and other stakeholders ‎in Kaduna.

JAMB Candidates Have Obtained NIN

He asserted that the campaign against NIN is mainly orchestrated by those benefiting from registration and examination scandals and added that the current campaign against NIMC, will not stop JAMB from collaborating with them.

Guidelines for prospective UTME candidates to register and obtain their NIN can be found on this link: NIN Application Guidelines. 2020 UTME Candidates are also advised to start preparing for their exams using the JAMB CBT softwares and JAMB CBT app

Prof Oloyede equally called on the Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPRCN), to help JAMB pay particular attention to CCTV as the board has observed that some computer-based test (CBT) centres are tampering with CCTV camera in collaboration with JAMB’s technical officers.
