To successfully pass and thereafter gain admission into UNIUYO, you must know what you ought to score. Your goal shouldn’t be just to pass the post utme, your goal should be to score very high and thus be given admission into your desired course.
By now you should be familiar with your individual departmental cut off mark. Let’s say I applied for civil engineering and I scored 220 in JAMB.[Departmental cut off for engineering is 240 cumulative i.e Jamb score + post utme score ÷2]
Using Primary 5 arithmetic, I don’t need rocket science to know that my target score should be in the range of 260 and above. [Check: 220+260=480; 480÷2=240]
My advice to you is, aim to score more than your target score just in case it is very competitive and the school decides to give base on ‘the higher the score’.
Just to keep the records straight, UNIUYO will NOT offer you admission even if you score 300 in JAMB and unfortunately score 179 in post utme. You are qualified for provisional admission when both your JAMB and post utme scores is 180 and
above independently.
