HND-Degree Dichotomy Would Soon Be A Thing Of The Past – JAMB Registrar

The Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Dibu Ojerinde, has assured Nigerian graduates that the controversial dichotomy between holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelors Degree would soon be a thing of the past.

Speaking as guest on a Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network interview programme on Thursday, Ojerinde disclosed that the present administration has set up a committee to look into the matter and other issues in the education sector.

Addressing the main issue tagged “JAMB and Crises in University Admission”, he stated that the Federal Ministry of Education was looking into the matter and there is hope for the removal of the dichotomy.

“The nation needs to rethink and attract candidates for technical and vocational education. The problems are created by the system,” Ojerinde said.
