Gov. Al-Makura Promises Automatic Employment To Any Corps Member who Marries an Indigene of The State
The Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-
Makura, has promised automatic
employment to any corps member who
marries an indigene of the state.
Al-Makura made the pledge while addressing the 2015 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch ‘A’ members during
their swearing in- ceremony at Magaji Dan
Yamusa permanent NYSC Orientation camp
in Keffi LGA of the state.
He said that inter-marriage by corps
members would not only foster unity but
also promote peaceful co-existence among
the people of the state and others states of
the federation.
The governor congratulated the corps
members for the successful completion of
their academic programmes at their various
institutions of learning and their
subsequent deployment for national
service.
In her reaction, the Nasarawa state NYSC
director, Mrs. Christy Uba, commended the
governor for his support to the scheme in
the state.
She said that a total of 1,931 corp members
have so been far registered for the
orientation exercise.
