Education New Zealand (ENZ) is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their Global Research Alliance Doctoral Scholarship programme.

About the Scholarship
New Zealand in support of the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA), is pleased to offer a PhD scholarship for students from developing countries.
This scholarship offers the possibility for students from developing countries to come to New Zealand to work on research projects related to agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation.
For this special round, four PhD projects aligned with New Zealand research programs have been selected:
1. Assessing soil carbon changes associated with land management and land use change.
3. Plant and plant/microbiome traits impacting N2O emissions from soil.
4. Climate Neutral Farms (ClieNFarms).
Aim and Benefits of Global Research Alliance Doctoral Scholarships
The scholarship covers the following:
1. New Zealand University annual tuition fees and associated student levies up to a total of $10,000 NZD per year.
2. An annual living stipend of $28,000 NZD per year (tax free).
3. Medical insurance cover up to $700 NZD per year.
5. Return flights to New Zealand up to a maximum of $6,000.
5. Book and thesis preparation allowance of up to $1,500 (one-off).
Requirements for Global Research Alliance Doctoral Scholarships
The following criteria are non-negotiable:
1. Your PhD study must be conducted in New Zealand (not from a distance)
2. You cannot hold citizenship or permanent residency status in New Zealand or Australia
4. You can apply to one of the available projects.
