FUTA Certificate/ Short Term Courses Admission Form is Out – 2017

Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA Short Term Courses/Certificate Programmes (STP/CP) admission form is now available on sale.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Centre for Continuing Education, Federal University of Technology (FUTA) Certificate Programmes/Short Term Courses.

LECTURES FOR ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES HOLDS ON FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS (WEEKEND).

FUTA CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES/SHORT TERM COURSES & REQUIREMENTS.

A. PROFESSIONAL COURSE IN ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS EXECUTIVE (ABE), UNITED KINGDOM (UK)
The Centre for Continuing Education, Federal University of Technology (FUTA) in collaboration with Association of Business Executive (ABE) UK offers the following management and professional courses.
o Human Resource Management
o Business Start-Up & Entrepreneurship
o Marketing Management
o Business Management
o Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management

LEVEL Required Qualification Duration
Level 3 & 4 Five O” Level in WAEC, GCE, NECO in not more than one sitting including Mathematics, English Language, Economics, or Accounting and any other two subjects not more than two sittings. National Diploma
1 Session
Level 5 OND, NCE in an field 1 Session
Level 6 Higher National Diploma/Bachelor Degree in any field 1 Session
Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma, Masters Degree in any field 1 Session

B. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE COURSES
• Project Management Technology (9 months)
• Monitoring and Evaluation (6 months)
Admission Requirement:
o Graduate of University/Polytechnics
o Graduate with minimum of 5 years cognate experience can apply

C. COMPUTER TRAINING PROGRAMME
• Executive Certificate Course in Computer Studies (3 Months)
• Advanced Certificate Course in Computer Studies (3 Months)
Admission Requirements:
o At least a possession of Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent for the Certificate Course
o To qualify for the Advanced Certificate Course Candidates must obtain a minimum of Upper Credit at the Executive Certificate Course.

D. DIPLOMA IN FORESTRY AND RANGE MANAGEMENT ( 2 Sessions)
Admission Requirement:
o Credit passes in at least in four subjects including English Language, Mathematics at WASC/NECO/GCE O” Level or NABTEB
o Mature candidate who have worked for at least five (5) years in related area and who area and who have undergone training at the Forestry Training School may be considered for admission.

E. DIPLOMA IN SPORTS SCIENCE ( 2 Sessions)
Admission Requirement:
o Credit passes in at least four subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subject at not more than two sittings at WASC/NECO/GCE O’ Level or NABTEB
o FUTA Certificate in Sports Science

F. DIPLOMA IN LIBRARY MANAGEMENT ( 2 Sessions)
Admission Requirement:
o Four Credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at WASC/NECO/GCE O’ Level or NABTEB
o Mature candidates who have worked for at least five (5) years in related area and who have undergone Certificate in Library Management may be considered for admission

G. DIPLOMA AND ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN SECURITY MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS ( 2 Sessions)
Admission Requirement:
o DIPLOMA; Credit passes in at least in fiver subjects including English Language, Mathematics at WASC/NECO/GCE O” Level or NABTEB
o ADVANCE DIPLOMA: NCE, HND, B. SC

H. DIPLOMA IN ECOTOURISM MANAGEMENT ( 2 Sessions)
Admission Requirement:
o Credit passes in at least four subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subject at not more than two sittings at WASC/NECO/GCE O’ Level or NABTEB

I. ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL LOGISISTICS AND TRANSPORT ( 1 Session)
J. NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL LOGISISTICS AND TRANSPORT (1 Session)
K. NATIONAL CERIFICATE IN INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (1 Session)

Admission Requirement:
National Professional Diploma in Logistics and Transport, GCE, SSCE, WASC O’ Level with 5 Credits in not more than two sittings, holders of National Diploma in non logistics and transport, HND, First Degree in any discipline from recognized institutions.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FUTA CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES/SHORT TERM COURSES.

Application Forms are obtainable from the Office of the Administrative Secretary (Room 1), Centre for Continuing Education, Federal University of Technology, Akure at the rate of N5, 00.00 only for Forms  B – K. Fees for Application Forms for Courses in A are as follows: N7, 500 for Level 4 & 5, N10, 000 for Level 6 and N15, 000 for Level 7. Payments should be made at the Accounts Section of the Centre for Continuing Education.

All completed application forms with the required relevant documents should be returned to Short-Term Courses/Certificate Programmes Office, Room 4, CCE, FUTA.
