FUOTUOKE Admitted 2000 Students for 2016/17 Session
Federal University Otuoke, FUOTUOKE admitted over 2,000 students for the 2016/2017 academic session.
Federal University Otuoke has recorded an admission of over 2,000 students for the 2016/2017 academic session; a greater number and first of its kind since the establishment of the University in 2011.
This was disclosed at the 2016/2017 orientation exercise organized by the University for the newly admitted students at its Skills Acquisition Centre.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Seth Accra Jaja who was represented at the occasion by Prof. Teddy Charles Adias enjoined the new students to submit themselves to the ideals of learning.
According to the Vice Chancellor, learning enables people acquire testable skills especially in this rapidly transforming world of dynamism in technology and incentives.
He advised them to desire to be educated with utmost humility which is needed to acquire knowledge that will put them on the wheel of greatness.
Assuring the freshers, the Vice Chancellor expressed the University’s determination to create an enabling environment for them to achieve their academic dreams.
Also congratulating the students on their admission into the University, The Registrar, Mr. Kenneth Sonrandein advised them to adhere to the rules and regulations of the University, stating that anyone found wanting will be shown the way out.
“Until you leave this University, if you fall short of law and order, you will be leaving before your graduation wherever there is a society there must be rules and regulations” he said.
The Registrar further advised them to obey constituted authorities in the University and shun acts capable of truncating their future while in the University.
Speakers at the orientation programme were the Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Steve Nwabuzor and Dean of Science, Prof. Charles Negbenebor.
Others were Dean of Education Dr. Okechukwu Okeke and Dean of Management Prof. Barnabas Agbonifoh, they all charged the students to take advantage of the facilities and lectures provided by the University to unleash their God given potentials for the advancement of humanity.
Earlier in his opening speech, the Dean Student Affairs, Dr. Joseph Omoru welcomed the new students, assuring them of the Uuniversity’s readiness to make their stay worthwhile.
