Under the theme of Digital Africa: ICTs
enriching communities, the eLearning
Africa”Through your Lens” Photo
Competitionis back this year for its sixth
edition (i.e. the 2015 edition of the Photo
Competition).
Since 2010, the eLearning Africa
competition has been offered annually to
photo lovers (students, enthusiasts,
amateurs and professionals) to express
interests and capture themes in pictures.
The winning photos and those of the top 10
finalists will be exhibited at eLearning
Africa. In addition, from 2013 onwards,
photos will be featured in the eLearning
Africa Report, which was launched at the
eLearning 2013 conference.
Eligibility
Whether you are a photography student or
an ICT enthusiast, amateur or professional,
all contributors are welcome.

Citizens of ALL countries – submissions
from all over Africa and beyond are
welcome

The theme for the 2015 edition is “Digital
Africa: ICTs enriching communities”.
How has the connection between you, your
friends and families changed due to
technology? How has ICT changed your
daily life and the ways in which you
participate in your community?Submit your
photo, along with a brief description, and
show how communication tools and
information technologies are
revolutionising how you learn, work and
share information, ideas and projects.

and foster relationships between people.
2013:Tradition and innovation in ICT on the
Continent
2012:”The African Century: ICTs Inspiring
Innovation”
2011:How ICTs are empowering people
across Africa

Number of winners
Three winners will be picked by public vote
and one by an expert panel of judges.

Prizes include atablet PC, asmartphoneand
adigital camera.
Participation is free and a selection of the
submitted photos, including the winners,
will feature in an exhibition at this year’s
eLearning Africa conference.

Photos can be submitted via theeLearning
Africa “Through your Lens” Facebook
application page.
All eligible photos submitted to the
competition can be viewed and voted on via
the dedicated Facebook application pageor
by visiting the gallery.

eLearning Africa is thelargest gathering of
eLearning and ICT supported education and
training professionals in Africa, enabling
participants to develop multinational and
cross-industry contacts and partnerships, as
well as to enhance their knowledge,
expertise and abilities.
Delegates arehigh-level policy and decision
makers and practitioners from education,
business and government- the three key
areas driving eLearning adoption and
innovation.
An exhibition and demonstration area
accompanies the programme, where
leading international eLearning
manufacturers, suppliers and service
providers present their latest products and
services. Every year, participants evaluate
the exhibition as a critical meeting point for
professional interaction within the
conference.
