EKSU Admitted Over 6,000 Students, Promises Stable Calendar

Ekiti State University, EKSU administered the matriculation oath on over 6,000 students offered admission for the 2015/2016 academic session.

Over 6000 newly admitted  students of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) have taken the matriculation oath for the 2015/2016 academic session. The oath was administered on them by the Registrar of the University Mr. Emmanuel Ogunyemi at a colourful ceremony presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Samuel Oye Bandele.

Addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor Prof Samuel Oye Bandele congratulated their parents and guardians and the new intakes and welcomed them into the community of intellectuals.

During the oath taking, the new students promised to abide by the rules and regulations of the University and respect the authority of the Vice-Chancellor.

The Vice-Chancellor said no stone has been left unturned in the effort to reposition and restructure the University system.

He further added that the institution is fast growing and it’s breaking new grounds in ICT, stability of academic calendar and internally generated revenue and academic quality.

Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele advised the students to shun all acts of indiscipline capable of prolonging their stay in the institution. He also admonished them to cultivate reading culture and moral uprightness which EKSU students are known for. Adding that it is important that make self respect their watch word.

The Vice-Chancellor assured all newly admitted students that the present administration will make their welfare their concern with a promise that the newly admitted students will not record elongated academic calendar.

At the end of the Matriculation ceremony, families, parents, guardians and well wishers of the matriculants gathered to take photographs and merry.
