The aim of this post is to inform the general public that Professor Muhammad Mainoma, PMM 1st National Essay Competition For Accounting Students in Nigeria application is on. Interested and suitably qualified candidates can apply. 1st prize – N200,000 cash + Laptop, 2nd prize – N150,000 cash + Laptop and 3rd prize – N100,000 cash + Laptop.

Aim of PMM Essay Competition.
The primary purpose of the Professor Muhammad Mainoma (PMM) essay competition is to offer young people the opportunity to make their voice heard on a national platform and engage with issues crucial to the Accounting profession.
PMM Essay Competition – Eligibility.
It is open to undergraduates studying Accounting (full time) in any recognized University or Polytechnic in Nigeria.
How to Apply for PMM Essay Competition.
This year, entries are invited on the topic “The Role of Accounting Ethics in National Development”. The best essay, as determined by a panel of experts, will be published in the Nasarawa State University Journal of Administration.
All entries shall be between 1,000 to 1,500 words, in MS word format, Times New Roman and 12 points with 1.5 line spacing. Soft copy of the essay must reach
uwaleke@nsuk.edu.ng on or before August 15 2015.
Prizes:
1st Prize: N200,000 cash plus Laptop to the overall winner.
2nd Prize: N150,000 cash plus Laptop to the 1st runner up.
3rd Prize: N100,000 cash plus Laptop to the 2nd runner up.
In addition, the departments of Accounting which produce the best three essays will receive Accounting books/Periodicals worth N100,000 each. The award ceremony will take place in September, 2015.
