6 Students Bags First Class as Kwara State University Graduates 732 Students
A total number of 732 graduates will receive
their first degree certificates during the 3rd
Convocation Ceremony of Kwara State
University (KWASU) Scheduled to hold
today.
Following the Speech during the pre-convocation briefing, the Vice-chancellor, Prof. AbdulRasheed Na’Allah, said that six of the graduating students bagged First class
degrees, with the departments of
Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) and Pure and Applied
Sciences producing three each.
In a further breakdown, the VC revealed
that 174 graduands bagged Second Class
Upper while 549 others got Second Class
Lower. The remaining other three came out
with third class.
Prof. Na’Allah said that the convocation
lecture will be delivered by Nobel laureate,
Professor Wole Soyinka.
He said the Nobel laureate was given an
‘open cheque’ to speak on any topic,
assuring that the scholar would address
issue that is relevant to the present
situation in the country.
