55 Bags First Class As Babcock University Graduates Davido & 1,415 Others
A total number of 1,416 graduating students
received various degree certificates at the
13th Convocation Ceremony of Babcock
University, Ilishan- Remo in Ogun State on
Sunday.
One of the graduates is Nigerian music star,
David Adeleke, also known as Davido, who
graduated from the Department of Music
and Creative Arts with a Second Class
(Upper) degree.
Speaking at the event, the outgoing
President of the institution, Prof. Kayode
Makinde, said that fifty five (55) of the
graduating students bagged First Class
degrees.
He said the other graduates got Second
Class degrees (Upper and Lower).

Prof. Makinde, who is leaving the institution
after a successful ten years service, added
that it was in tradition of the school not to
award Third Class and Pass degrees.
He congratulated the graduands on their
achievement and urged them to be good
ambassadors of the institution wherever
they find themselves in the future.
